Hi everyone! This post was inspired by a tiktok I did a few weeks ago— I highlighted some of my fav 18+ vampire romance series!

1. Bloodline Vampires – Katee Robert — (on ku!)

This is a reverse harem (mmmf) series about Mina who has been given to this vampire, Malachi, by her father to get her pregnant because in his eyes, a baby from her and Malachi is the only useful thing she can do as a half-breed.
This definitely leans more heavily on the smut vs plot as it is quite short but it is such an interesting story regardless. Especially when the other two vampires are introduced! The swords do cross and their bites are orgasmic.. Need I say more to convince you? Mina is also such a badass main character, I adore her!
The final book to this trilogy isn’t out yet but Katee has said she plans to release it before the end of 2021 so not a long wait! And it’s on KU so go get it🥰
2. Fangs – Billy Balibally
Only one volume out so far! No news on the next one yet.

This is a steamy manga about a recently turned vampire and his introduction into their world. He’s led around by a vampire he quickly realizes he is attracted to and things begin to unfold. It’s gay, there’s talk of mates, it’s sexy and I love the banter between this couple! A seriously excellent first volume to this series.
3. Their Vampire Queen – Joely Sue Burkhart (on ku!)

This is a completed series (all on ku!) and I believe there’s a spinoff series but I haven’t read it yet so I’m not too sure how those interconnect.
But this series starts off with our main character, Shara as she is on the run from these creepy vampire zombie creatures that have been hunting her her entire life. She doesn’t know why until these badass vampire warriors find her and protect her. They inform her that she too is a vampire and that they would like to swear themselves to her.
From there this turns into a reverse harem story! It is full of blood play so do be careful if you have any issues with that. This series is full of sexy orgies, shifters of every kind, vampire queens and gods. Honestly, anything you can imagine, this series has it. I love it most of all for the chaos and the smut but also because of how much love is present.
With such large harems like in this series, it’d be easy to lose focus of characters and their bond with the mc but Joely writes their love in such breathtaking ways that you love everyone equally and that just makes this series so amazing.

4. Argeneau – Lynsay Sands
This series has 30+ books in it so I won’t list them all here but book 1 is A Quick Bite!

This is an ongoing series about the immortal vampire family— the Argeneaus!
I’ve only read the first book but definitely plan on continuing— I’ve just been slowly collecting the series as I find them in thrift stores.
This series has that old vampire romance feel but also more modern! This first book has the love interest kidnapped and tied to the bed of our main character as a birthday present for her to uh.. snack on. She isn’t on board with this surprise so she goes against her family to free and help him and from there a romance ensues. It’s such a fun book, I can only imagine how chaotic the rest of the series will be with this family!
5. The Black Dagger Brotherhood – J. R. Ward
This is another incredibly long series— book 1 is Dark Lover!
Spice Rating: 2.5-3/5🌶🌶🌶
TW for SA in the first book. It happens to the main character pretty early on into the book. Check out more TW/CW if you need to, this series gets pretty dark!
This is a bit of a twist on the vampires scene— the men are still vampires so to speak but they’re also more immortal warriors tasked with killing demons vs bloodsucking immortals. They’re all unfairly ripped and excellent at combat and it a thrill to read about them.
These are definitely romance heavy and that is the main focus. There’s still a ton of plot though! It continues on throughout the books as each one features a different couple. I’ve read a few of them now and yall need to get on these if you haven’t already!
6. Dark-Hunters – Sherrilyn Kenyon
Another long long series! Book 1 is technically Night Pleasures but I recommend starting with Fantasy Lover! It’s not as vampire-y as the rest but still a better place to start imo!

This is one of my all time favourite series! Similar to Black Dagger Brotherhood, these books feature more immortal warriors vs vampires. They still can’t go out during the day and depend on blood to survive in a way but they aren’t your stereotypical types.
I just love how Sherrilyn writes romance weaved into such an intricate plot and overarching storyline! These characters are all so complex and dark but each and every one of them manages to touch your soul. Plus, she does know how to write some enticing spice!
